Trend to development of extra care homes starts to accelerate
LOS ANGELES: The trend towards the development of extra care housing is now starting to grow quickly.
Additional features such as assisted bathing, spa bathing, hairdressing facility, a games room, roof terraces and a laundry room are now being incorporated.
Building on Caddickâs existing healthcare portfolio, this development will boost the provision of specialist residential care for those aged 55 and over in Lancaster, providing a safe and comfortable space for those requiring varying levels of care.
External work will include alterations and remodelling of the existing and stone boundary wall, landscaping, a car park with EV charging points, restoration of all historial sandstone buildings and the installation of external lighting.
Ian Threadgold, Managing Director of Caddick Construction for the North West said the latest scheme built on a range of extra care construction projects, including the delivery of Carlisle Healthcare Centre, on behalf of United Healthcare Developments.
This scheme saw the creation of a BREEAM Outstanding development, making the building the most sustainable primary care centre in the country.
