Healthcare Resort of Topeka offers world class care

TOPEKA: Topeka city leaders stood alongside resort officials Tuesday as they cut the ribbon on the new facility. It focuses on short term rehabilitation care and assisted living.

Resort CEO Ryan Leiker says the idea behind the resort is to mix world class healthcare with personalised hospitality.

“The kind of hospitality you would enjoy in a four star resort, the culinary offerings fusioned with world class healthcare,” he said.

The facility sits off SW 6th and Wanamaker and features a pub, movie theatre, bistro and a putting green.

“We’re so excited not only to bring that economic development to the City of Topeka, but also that world class healthcare,” Leiker said.

There are 70 rooms available for short term patients and 24 assisted living apartments. The apartments rent for up to $4,200 a month.

There are two additional resorts being built in Leawood and Wichita.
