First owners move into beach adjacent boomers resort development
LONDON: Built next to Mariner’s Cove, The Mantaray Marina and Residences is the first new development delivered under The Spit Masterplan.
Led by Gordon Corp founder and CEO Tim Gordon in partnership with pub baron Bruce Mathieson, the project has been built as world-class marina address.
The project includes 24 apartments on a 10,000 sqm waterfront site overlooking the Broadwater.
Resident amenities include a heated 40m pool that runs through the centre of the development, as well as a state-of-the-art 350 sqm wellness centre with a gym, hot and cold therapy plunge pools, infra-red sauna, traditional sauna and steam room.
Gordon Corp sales and marketing director Lara Dimond said the amenities had been one of the most immediate points of feedback from the first residents.
“What has been particularly rewarding is seeing our owners experience the completed wellness centre,” Ms Dimond said.
“Seeing the space, the equipment and the recovery facilities together has exceeded their expectations.
“We have approached these shared spaces with the same care as the residences themselves.
“Whether residents are training, relaxing by the pool or welcoming friends into their home, we want them to feel that the whole environment is an extension of their home.”
The project is anchored by a 67-berth superyacht marina, now open and operating.
The Mantaray Club, a two-level floating lounge with bar, restaurant and event facilities, as well as a high-end lifestyle promenade, will officially open to the public in early 2027.
Ms Dimond said the pool, marina and waterfront setting had become central to the atmosphere of the development.
“One of the first things people comment on is how peaceful it feels around the main pool,” she said.
“With the beautiful landscaping and the marina beyond, it evokes the relaxed elegance of an exceptional waterfront resort, shared by a private community.
“It is an extraordinary environment to come home to.”
Ms Dimond said the arrival experience at The Mantaray established the tone for the wider precinct.
“The porte cochère creates a beautiful first impression, then you step into the main lobby and the scale of the space, the extraordinary stonework and the handmade crystal light take your breath away,” she said.
“Your eye is drawn through the lounge to the pool and marina beyond.
“It sets the tone for the whole experience of coming home to The Mantaray.”
She said The Mantaray’s concierge service completed the offering.
Three and four-bedroom apartments are priced from $15.5m with just four remaining for sale.
