Boomers with deep pockets needed for luxe homes in marina resort

LOS ANGELES: New design renders for three luxury resort homes at the world’s newest marina have been released, and you are going to need some deep pockets to secure these high-end offerings.

A three-storey residence with five ensuited bedrooms has hit the market, with hopeful buyers to pay between $5.2 million and $5.4 million to call it home.

The Family design concept has over 591sq m of living space, five bedrooms and six bathrooms.

The ground floor will be home to a luxury kitchen with an island stone benchtop, rich finishes, premium appliances and a scullery.

Also on this level will be a media room and a spacious living area that will be connected to a 6-seater outdoor dining area and private pool.

The first floor will be home to four ensuited bedrooms, each with their own walk-in robes, and two private balconies.

The top level will be dedicated solely to a lavish master suite with panoramic views of the ocean, a huge walk-in wardrobe, a resort-style ensuite and a sitting area.

But it is outside where this residence will truly shine.

Along with the pool, balconies and outdoor entertaining area, this residence will also come with its own private 35m marina berth.

Meanwhile, designs for a four bedroom residence called The Entertainer have also been revealed, with that residence boasting 489sq m of living space over two storeys.

It will set buyers back between $4.5 million and $4.6 million.

The ground floor will be home to the open plan kitchen, living and dining areas, a media room with a bar, a kitchen with a scullery, and a powder room.

Upstairs is where you will find the four ensuited bedrooms, each with its own walk-in robe, a media room, study, and two balconies.

The residence will also include the same high end fixtures, finishes and appliances.

It too comes with a private 25m marina berth.

But it is The Executive that offers the most space under roof – over 595sq m.

It is also on the market for between $5.2 million and $5.4 million.

The three storey, four bedroom residence comes with its own 25m marina berth.

“Comprising of four ensuited bedrooms, an outdoor entertaining area, three balconies, a private above ground pool, multiple living areas and a secure double garage, this residence surpasses all the standards of luxury living,” the listing by agents Rob Taylor and Sophia Cross, who are marketing the properties within the Shute Harbour Marina Resort, says.

The Family and The Entertainer were quietly launched to market yesterday, while The Executive was released six days ago.

Three bedroom residences with 25m marina berths have also been listed for $3.95 million.

Vacant 440sq m blocks that come with marina berths are also available for between $1.75 million and $1.85 million.

One is already under offer.

The luxe residences will be constructed at Shute Harbour Marina Resort, with private berths starting from $165,000.

Launched in April, the $350 million development will include 58 managed resort dwellings, each with their own private marina berths of 25-35m at their doorstep, managed apartments with resort club facilities and a 100-plus room resort hotel, which will include function and meeting rooms, bars, restaurants, a swimming pool and undercover parking.

The project is being undertaken by an Australian consortium headed by Mark Daniels, Mark McLachlan, Greg Phillips and Mr Wade.

It will be the first major marina and residential development for the Whitsundays since 2006, and will include a total of 395 marina berths.

The entire precinct will be linked by public boardwalks, lookout spaces and seating throughout, with plans to also establish new public parks and a community cyclone shelter on the site.

“Queensland’s premier destination in the heart of the Whitsundays. Shute Harbour Marina will be a world-class precinct for waterfront residences, private berths and premium retail and commercial opportunities,” the listing says.

“There are not many places you can moor your boat on your doorstep.”
