Best seniors housing design for Global Awards shortlisted
LOS ANGELES: The shortlist for the best seniors housing design has been declared.
Over 250 designs have been considered by the awards secretariat. One of the finalists in this category is shown above.
As baby boomers age and the senior population grows rapidly, one residential developer is looking to build a senior living community in downtown Redwood City, providing assisted living, memory care and independent living.
Though senior housing projects are a prominent policy objective outlined in the city’s housing element approved for 2023-2031, senior housing developments are few and far between, said Stephen Reller, partner at proposed developer R&M Properties.
The Global Award winner will be announced in December in London. (Globals)
