Best retirement housing design for Global Awards shortlisted
LOS ANGELES: The shortlist for the best retirement housing design has been declared.
Over 250 designs have been considered by the awards secretariat. One of the finalists in this category is shown above.
A property 10km from Daylesford featuring a spectacular outdoor lap pool, bar and firepit is ideal for buyers who love partying, relaxing and hiking.
Surrounded on two sides by the Wombat State Forest, the 11ha home named Maple Rise at
1989 Ballan Daylesford Rd, Leonards Hill, includes a three-bedroom house and separate self-contained unit built from shipping containers.
However, owner Richard Coleman says most visitors do not realise the containers were incorporated into the architect-designed abodes’ construction.
The Global Award winner will be announced in November in London. (Globals)
