Best retirement housing design for Global Awards shortlisted

LOS ANGELES: The shortlist for the best retirement housing design has been declared.

Over 250 designs have been considered by the awards secretariat. One of the finalists in this category is shown above.

After years of revisions, a new senior living community in Los Gatos received the green light from the town council on Tuesday.

Located at the intersection of South Santa Cruz Avenue and Wood Road, the site was originally the location of a senior living facility called Los Gatos Meadows that closed in 2019 due to safety concerns. In 2020 developers began planning a new facility on the site. The council approved the project’s draft environmental impact report at its Feb. 4 meeting.

The Global Award winner will be announced in December in London. (Globals)
