Best retirement house design for Global Awards shortlisted

NEW YORK: The shortlist for the best retirement house design has been declared.

Over 250 designs have been considered by the awards secretariat. One of the finalists in this category is shown above.

There is a big demand for warehouse conversions from boomers.

Comedian Merrick Watts’ $6.2 million record inner west residential converted warehouse price has been toppled.

The highest inner west warehouse sale in 2020 was achieved in Balmain midweek when a former timber mill, redesigned into a four-bedroom family home by Carter Williamson, fetched “well over” $6 million.

The Mill warehouse features recycled brickwork and steel trusses.

The Global Award winner will be announced in December in London. (Globals)
