Best affordable seniors housing design for Global Awards shortlisted
MELBOURNE: The shortlist for the best affordable seniors housing design has been declared.
Over 250 designs have been considered by the awards secretariat. One of the finalists in this category is shown above.
McKnight Senior Village IV adds 60 new one-and two-bedroom affordable apartment homes for seniors, bringing the entire McKnight Senior Village campus to 272 units and approximately 280 residents. The four-story development mirrors the existing McKnight apartments and shares the community’s amenities, including a recently remodeled clubhouse with a game room, fitness room, and an on-site health and wellness room. Residents also have access to an on-site pantry, helping address food insecurity and providing convenient access to essential food resources.
“McKnight Senior Village has been part of this community for nearly 30 years, and Phase IV marks an important milestone in our continued commitment to providing seniors with quality, affordable places to call home,” said David Paull, Executive Vice President at GGI.
“These 60 new homes allow us to build on the success of the existing McKnight community while helping meet the growing need for affordable senior housing throughout Southern Nevada.”
The Global Award winner will be announced in December in London. (Globals)
