Best affordable housing design for Global Awards shortlisted
LOS ANGELES: The shortlist for the best affordable seniors housing design has been declared.
Over 250 designs have been considered by the awards secretariat. One of the finalists in this category is shown above.
A fund manager has submitted a development application for two 33-storey mixed-use towers in Fortitude Valley containing more than 550 apartments.
EG Funds is seeking to a develop a site at 801 Ann St, which also faces McLachlan St near the James Street retail precinct into a diverse contemporary mixed-use housing and shared community spaces.
The development application to the Brisbane City Council is for 326 Build-to-Rent and 225 apartments for sale as well as 1384sq m of retail and offices.
The Rothelowman-designed proposal boasts innovatively designed apartments that will offer both rental and homeownership options.
The comprehensive plans will include open spaces for public use, significant greening through deep soil planting, retail stores, recreational amenities, and shared community spaces that span across three levels to enhance the overall community experience
The Global Award winner will be announced next November in London. (Globals)
