Boomers create superyacht on wheels entertainment palace
MELBOURNE: A superyacht on wheels for grand luxury touring has been created for the upscale boomer market.
Calling all people with $4-6 million AUD in their pockets: did you know you can buy an RV with a rooftop lounge, a private jet-like cockpit, and yacht inspired windows?
Where to find this palace on wheels? Check out the The Elemment Palazzo Superior, the top of the line RV model from Marchi Mobile, a European auto maker for healthcare trucks and rich people.

The Elemment Palazzo Superior looks a bit like a superyacht. That’s no accident; its design combines design features from motor-sports, aviation and yachting – the first time this has ever been done, according to Marchi.
The first thing that boggles the eyes is the cab. Reminiscent of a pilot’s cockpit, the cabin is particularly notable because it’s on the second floor of the RV. It is made with high performance carbon fibre materials, is made with extreme precision, and looks flippin’ futuristic.
It also has performance features like “central digital instrumentation” and MMI control inspired by jet cockpits (but it functions more like a luxury limousine). The panoramic windshield (which has low-key Apache attack helicopter vibes) has various settings allowing you to let more or less light in.
The next wildest feature of the RV is the rooftop lounge, which looks a bit like a nightclub deck (and you can see why). It has an automatic sun canopy with integrated lighting and audio, storage space for outdoor lounge furniture and an automatic safety railing. It lifts out of the roof via an automatic lift system, like the flybridge on a yacht.
Inside, there are porthole style windows and 732 square feet of living space. The RV is 12-13.7m long and 2.6 metres wide (4.8 metres when fully expanded). It’s also got floor heating, adjustable temperature zones, a kitchenette, a fireplace, automatic sliding doors and ambient lighting.
There is also a handy separation between the living room and bedroom, so you don’t have to have your private space invaded when hosting friends. In the living room, naturally, there is a 42 inch widescreen TV, a bar cabinet, an icemaker and a wine fridge.
The large main bedroom has another large screen TV, a dressing area, storage space, and a king size bed from the same company that supplies mattresses and beds to the British Royal Family. There is also a bathroom with a rain shower.
If you are in the market for the most luxurious roadtrip ever, depending on how much you want to customise, each RVs costs between $2-4 million USD ($4-6 million AUD) and takes about two years to build.
The RV is powered by a 600 horsepower six cylinder engine (you need something muscular to pull those 28 tonnes along the road), and has an excellent (for its size) drag coefficient of cW 0,3615 due to aerodynamics.
Speaking of efficiency, as the world’s 1st small-series automobile manufacturer, MARCHI Mobile claims that its builds “prove performance and eco-friendliness can be driving forces in the creation of Class-A vehicles.”
Whether you love it or hate it, you have to admit, this thing is absolutely in a class of its own.
