Best retirement housing design for Global Awards shortlisted
LOS ANGELES: The shortlist for the best retirement housing design has been declared.
Over 250 designs have been considered by the awards secretariat. One of the finalists in this category is shown above.
Developers behind plans for a lush new boomers apartment complex in Sandy Bay say they’ll give the entire lot a makeover and transform it from an “urban weedscape”, if the development gets approved.
A development application has been lodged 47 Maning Ave for a two-building apartment complex with 11 dwellings comprising nine three-bedroom units and two two-bedroom units.
Each building would be three storeys high, and both will have an enclosed garage on the ground floor, providing two spaces for each apartment.
The developers hope the buildings will complement their surroundings and improve the area, which is currently vacant.
The Global Award winner will be announced in November in London. (Globals)
