Best seniors supportive housing design for Global Awards shortlisted
LOS ANGELES: The shortlist for the best seniors supportive housing design has been declared.
Over 250 programmes have been considered by the awards secretariat. One of the finalists in this category is shown above.
Crews have completed demolition of the former Church’s Chicken building on Monday, Jun13, to make way for Heritage Square South, a new 70-unit senior affordable housing development, at 710 N. Fair Oaks Ave.
The project is helmed by the nonprofit BRIDGE Housing, the group’s second endeavor in Pasadena.
The demolition is being led by Jamie Potter of Titan Disposal.
BRIDGE’s new Pasadena project, Heritage Square South, is projected as a 70-unit building, including 69 permanent supportive apartments for extremely low-income seniors who have experienced homelessness, plus one manager’s unit.
Case management and supportive services will be provided at the site by Union Station Homeless Services.
The Global Award winner will be announced in December in London. (Globals)
